Yoga translated from Sanskrit means "Union". In the Classical Yoga Studio, we teach and practice Classic Hatha Yoga. Using our physical body as a tool to practice different Asanas(Postures) along with Pranayama or breathing helps one to achieve the highest connection with the Divine that exists in the cosmos. With boundaries and shackles breaking open, one is able to have an experience which opens up to the limitless. Regular practice of asanas or poses helps in stretching the body and muscles. This helps the muscles to be at ease while doing the asanas and sustain it at ease. Incorporating the right breathing pattern with the asana helps in enhancing respiratory, circulatory systems and immunity. Regular practice of Pranayama (different breathing techniques) helps in increasing lung capacity.
Yoga helps in calming the nervous system, activating the proper functioning of the Endocrine systems. Activating the lymph nodes and increasing body's immunity, Every part and muscle of the body is enhanced with quality and wellness. Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance for other physical activities and anything else that you take on to do each day. After a good Yoga and Pranayama Practice, the body and the mind is relaxed as well as stretching and strengthening of your muscles.
Practicing Yoga and Pranayama regularly helps in improving the body's natural defenses and immunity. Practicing Yoga and Pranayama with an instructor that knows the mechanics is even more helpful. With a caring attention of the instructor, Yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system and improves the effectiveness of the immune system.

Practicing Yoga and Pranayama
under a watchful eye of the instructor helps in bringing awareness to the breath while holding to an asana. This greatly helps the mind to calm and stay focussed. As the instructor gently helps the student, the student in turn is able to slowly experience Increased Awareness. As the awareness is increased and there is a tremendous amount of calmness, one is able to sit silently and become meditative.
When you are able to become calm and peaceful, it helps you naturally handle anything that life throws at you with grace and complete focus of mind.
